**Job Title:** Construction Surveying Technician

**Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Surveying Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various field survey operations, including total station accurate set of angles and high accuracy leveling loops for surface and tunnel control networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys, including total station and GPS surveys, layouts, and as-built surveys
  • Setup and configure survey equipment
  • Maintain accurate survey notes and records, documentation, and stamped submittals
  • Communicate with operations, engineers, and subcontractors to complete assigned tasks
  • Manage as-built information and digital records

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of safety requirements on an active construction site and applicable safety policies
  • Post-secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering preferred
  • Knowledge of survey practices and standards
  • Preferred 2 years' experience in Construction Surveying, including control networks
  • Construction experience in Civil, Structural, Utilities, and other areas preferred
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in survey data and office software
  • Experience with GPS, total station, and digital level
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation is an asset
  • Experience with Hydro One and Toronto Hydro specifications and standards is an asset

Working Conditions:

  • Able to perform in a fast-paced environment, under different weather and environment conditions
  • Must have a valid G Driver's License with an acceptable record
