Job Description

**Job Title:** Surveying Technician for Infrastructure Projects

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Surveying Technician to join our team at Trillium Guideway Partners. As a Surveying Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and precision of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field surveys to establish control networks and perform total station and GPS surveys.
  • Setup and configure survey equipment, including GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
  • Maintain accurate survey notes and records, documentation, and stamped submittals.
  • Communicate with operations, engineers, and subcontractors to complete assigned tasks.
  • Manage As-Built information and digital records.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of safety requirements on an active construction site and applicable safety policies.
  • Post-secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of survey practices and standards.
  • Preferred 2 years' experience in Construction Surveying, including control networks.
  • Construction experience in Civil, Structural, Utilities, and other areas preferred.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in survey data and office software.
  • Experience with GPS, total stations, and digital levels.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation is an asset.
  • Experience with Hydro One and Toronto Hydro specifications and standards is an asset.
