Key Responsibilities

The Financial Crisis Management Group operates under the VP of Liquidity and Financial Crisis Management. In your role as a Senior Analyst, you will report directly to the Director of Funding & Liquidity Management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and managing extensive, multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Conducting analyses to support the interpretation, communication, and development of regulatory metrics.
  • Contributing significantly to Recovery & Resolution Plan deliverables.
  • Proactively addressing emerging domestic and international regulatory changes impacting CIBC's operations.
  • Applying your technical expertise in liquidity to provide efficient, accurate, and timely support for CIBC's Liquidity Management Framework, policy formulation, and Recovery & Resolution Planning initiatives.

Qualifications for Success
  • Technical Expertise – Comprehensive understanding of global regulatory liquidity requirements (including Basel III, OSFI), as well as OSFI's Recovery Planning and CDIC's Resolution Planning mandates.
  • Project Coordination – Collaborate with the Liquidity Management team to effectively organize and fulfill the objectives of the Liquidity Risk Management function.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to ensure efficient process management and advisory services.
  • Proactive Initiative – Stay informed on regulatory guidance and engage in projects to enhance your knowledge in liquidity and funding, including presenting insights to CIBC stakeholders.
  • Communication Skills – Ability to draft technical reports related to key regulatory deliverables for senior management.
Who You Are
  • You possess experience in liquidity management, including familiarity with regulatory initiatives such as LCR, NCCF, NSFR, and stress testing, along with skills in modeling and spreadsheet creation (MS Excel) and SQL. Experience in Capital Markets is advantageous.
