Culinary Specialist Opportunity
Job Summary
Vantage Living Inc. is seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our food services team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious and appealing meals for residents, adhering to standardized recipes and menu plans.
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety protocols and regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory, including receiving and storing food products, and maintaining accurate records of food and supply purchases.
- Work collaboratively with the dietician to fulfill special diet requirements and therapeutic meals.
- Participate in food service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, fostering strong relationships with residents and colleagues.
Requirements
- Experience in volume cooking, preferably in a restaurant or institutional setting.
- Formal culinary training an asset.
- Food Safe - Level II certification required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
