Job Title: Security Operations Centre Guard

At Paladin Security, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Operations Centre Guard to join our team. As a Security Operations Centre Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring and operating all systems in the Security Operations Centre, ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their properties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and operate all systems in the Security Operations Centre, including communication systems, CCTV, access control, fire panels, and security records.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with clients and their guests, providing timely and accurate support as required.
  • Assist the Shift Supervisor in ensuring that all security guards adhere to procedures and protocols.
  • Ensure staff are following the assigned patrol schedule and provide clear and concise communication to security staff.
  • Record all information in a detailed and factual manner, including incident reports and security records.
  • Follow communication guidelines issued by the client, including prompt notification of incidents and using correct notification groups.
  • Be familiar with all Brookfield Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures.
  • Have very strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to write detailed, factual, and concise incident reports.
Requirements:
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Knowledge of security technology, including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, intrusion, and incident management systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of applicable federal, provincial, and municipal legislation and regulations in the area of security.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable in dealing with a diversity of situations and people, with the ability to work efficiently under stress.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Certification Requirements:
  • COVID Double Vaccinated.
  • 3 years of security experience.
  • Minimum 1 Year of Dispatch or Scheduling Experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of Security Supervisory Experience.
  • CPO Certification.
  • Police Foundations Diploma / Law and Justice Studies Degree.
  • A Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.
  • Standard First Aid, CPR Level C.
