Inspection Services Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Inspection Services Technician to join our team at BWX Technologies, Inc.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to cross-functional teams and project management.
- Participate in site execution of outage and inspection projects, with roles assigned based on CGSB qualifications.
- Coordinate and schedule priorities with supervisor or lead technician, following procedures to complete inspections.
- Participate in NDE tasks in the field.
- Assist with assembly, testing, and refurbishing of equipment prior to site deployment.
- Conduct standard test/inspection and analytical procedures, using a variety of test materials and equipment.
- Record test results and prepare equipment for operation.
- Execute parts of field tests under the guidance of ET Level II.
- Adhere to quality and safety standards, demonstrating a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Awareness of and appreciation for the process of Continuous Improvement.
- Perform process controls, set up, calibration, and testing of equipment under supervision.
- May assist with training of field staff for project execution.
- Assist with paperwork transactions required to perform ET inspection under BWXT internal process.
- Perform acquisition (ACQ) Operator or ACQ Assistant duties, if CGSB ET Level I has been obtained.
- May be asked to backfill Outage Lead responsibilities during required days off (RDOs) or upon request.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Assist with equipment inventory (Rubber Area/Clean equipment).
- Assist during equipment shipment stages by packing, segregating, or receiving.
- Technician/Technologist diploma: college graduate in an electrical, mechanical, or NDE discipline, or equivalent related experience (2 to 3 years).
- Level I NDT Technician with ECT certificate.
- Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT method(s) for which qualified.
- Some mechanical experience with NDT industrial equipment (i.e. ZETEC equipment and probes) would be ideal.
- Up to 70% to 80% site work/travel expected.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct testing to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT method(s).
- Capable of inspecting Heat Exchangers with ET method.
