About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our team at UpSourced HR. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing services for individuals with disabilities, supporting the future vision of service development and delivery, and supervising and supporting direct reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Oversee and manage services for individuals with disabilities, ensuring high-quality client services and a strong health & safety program.
  • Strategic Planning: Support the future vision of service development and delivery, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Supervise and support direct reports, providing guidance and coaching to ensure the success of the team.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and administer policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with policies, contracts, and legislation.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organization's practices comply with policies, contracts, and legislation, mitigating risks and ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Human Resource Management: Support the organization's supervisory staff in hiring, onboarding, and performance management practices, ensuring a positive and inclusive work culture.
  • Training and Development: Coordinate and support employees to access training and professional development opportunities, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
  • Employee Engagement: Build employee morale and promote a positive workplace culture, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.
  • Networking and Representation: Network and professionally represent the organization, building relationships with stakeholders and promoting the organization's mission and values.
  • Communication: Develop internal and external communications, ensuring clear and effective messaging and stakeholder engagement.
  • Data Management: Utilize data management systems to track and report information, informing decision-making and driving business outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree related to Human Services.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory role providing employee performance management.
  • Values and Attributes: Value, respect, and support the rights of people of all abilities, demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion principles.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, proficient in Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365 applications, with strong verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal relations and conflict resolution skills, and strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Requirements: Use of vehicle for work required (multiple worksites in Lethbridge), current Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory and Leadership Education: Supervisory and Leadership education and/or training certificates.
  • Government Experience: Experience working with Government of Alberta human services funding sources/contracts.
  • Human Resource Management Training: Human Resource Management training and experience.
