Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential repairs on machinery for our valued clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately diagnose and repair heavy machinery and lifting equipment as per customer requirements.
  • Assess the overall operational condition and integrity of machinery.
  • Identify defective mechanical or electrical components, communicate necessary repair actions to customers.
  • Diagnose issues and procure parts based on technical documentation.
  • Document and analyze equipment breakdowns following established procedures.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems related to battery and engine-powered material handling equipment.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring devices, and electrical/electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment that involves lifting and rigging.
  • Expertise in maintaining, disassembling, and installing machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Provincial Heavy Duty or Automotive Journeyperson's certification, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills with both external customers and internal teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations within the local area.
  • Ability to obtain access to Federal Government facilities through a clearance process.
