Position Overview:
The Service Technician plays a crucial role in delivering technical assistance, maintenance, and repair services for various equipment and systems. This position requires the ability to diagnose problems, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of the operations team, the Service Technician will:
- Analyze electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and schematics to install, repair, calibrate, and service electromechanical devices and systems.
- Dismantle, inspect, and replace electromechanical equipment, addressing any defective electrical and mechanical components.
- Utilize mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair cleaning and sanitizing equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Execute a variety of tasks to install and maintain sanitizing equipment and other machinery.
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance in accordance with established programs.
- Provide exceptional after-sales service and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Perform installation and maintenance of cleaning chemical systems in food and beverage facilities.
- Travel to customer locations as required.
- Assist other departments with internal projects.
- Diagnose issues, determine corrective actions, and perform necessary repairs.
- Manage service calls and assess customer needs.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic capabilities.
- Experience in maintaining food service equipment is preferred.
- Background in mobile onsite service is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating initiative and a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Organizational skills and a thorough understanding of processes.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- All candidates will be required to complete a mechanical/electrical aptitude assessment during the interview process.
