about this team
This role is part of the Global Sourcing Organization charged with establishing long range sourcing strategies to ensure a strong source base to deliver against our creative vision, quality standards, business volume requirements, and financial expectations. Translate our five-year long range planning (LRP) strategies to multiple seasonal execution of product allocations across multiple time horizons from a macro product class level to a style and vendor level capabilities, capacity and cost supports business needs. Guide and collaborate with cross functional teams through the development cycle for product "Best Cost", quality, initial markup (IMU) and risk management.
a day in the life
- Translate five-year volume plans and consolidate all business pod's long range sourcing strategies to a holistic view to tie back to delivering best cost and IMU targets inclusive of partnering on RM strategies
- Develop, maintain and consolidate the source plan, pod specific for short, mid, long-term basis in accordance with the global sourcing strategy in conjunction with strategic allocation team to manage risk
- Track and monitor margins at all key dates and provide visibility of areas of opportunities overall sourcing strategy held by the Sr. Director of Sourcing
- Outline long range cost enablers and macro challenges with a clear deliverable and tracking to meet GLA IMU targets to final line hand off
- Identify product cost challenges, risk, and opportunities for improvements to business pods and cross functional partners to action against
- Leverage deep industry expertise to determine gaps and opportunities in the source base capabilities, capacities, MCO diversification and outline timeline for execution of new vendor on boarding to support growth plans
- Manage all business pods category level vendor expertise to optimize cost, multi sourcing and geographic needs with collaborative efforts with LLO and vendor partners
- Review and action on QA Vendor Scorecards on global performance for strategic sourcing decisions
- Partner with Global QA on all new & existing vendor quality topics and action plan road map for remediation
- Monitoring Hyper Care process to ensure intended kick-off seasons for new vendors and categories are executed along with a contingency plan for managing risk
- Quarterly review of vendor capabilities with LLO/QA and Strategic Allocations for consideration of seasonal and 5 year strategic plan execution.
- Participant of the CAPA meeting to understand root cause, remediation plans and shifts required to manage upstream and downstream seasonal allocation and strategic sourcing considerations
- Manage and execute consequence and risk mitigation plans within the vendor base to ensure support overall global sourcing strategy with the alignment of LLO and PD to create a seamless process
- Alignment with technology integration, processes to support effective decision making for pod level cross functional transformation
- Educate and empower sourcing and extended product teams towards informed trade-off though the creation and commercialization process
- Action to remediation plans with the support of the costing eco system that is grounded in raw material strategies and sustainability initiatives
- Manage planning of new product ( NPI) introductions, new product category introductions, new technology introductions
- Pod level strategic inputs and initiatives to support the bottoms up source base five year Multi horizon plan that ladders up to support macro level business strategies
- Execute with teams to drive and evolve 5-year margin walk strategy work
- Own Seasonal guidance through targeting setting and tracking results for each season and establishing new working models to that support FGS delivering our core responsibilities
- Provide seasonal IMU challenges at GTM gates to cross functional teams with solutions to mitigate at targeting setting & tracking and process/timing evolution
- Consolidated allocation of all pod to ensure vendor capabilities, cost, MCO are optimized to support the business growth with alignment of strategic allocation team
- Multi Sourcing strategies for short- and long-term execution to drive optionality that supports cost competitiveness product strategy shifts, maximize trade & duty, lead time, expansion of new regions
- Align and execute to optimize local to local strategy with raw material sourcing teams
- Action to cross functional inputs on vendor performance, opportunities, merchant strategies and new product introductions
qualifications
- 12+ years of Supply Chain experience required with direct experience working in the apparel Finish Goods sector
- Extensive knowledge of Multi category Finish Good Vendors, Production, Capabilities and Costing
- Previous sourcing experience with garments and raw materials.
- Extensive experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to establish shared goals
- Global experience and acumen working with Asia based raw material mills and other countries
- Able to effectively articulate strategic recommendations and influence the decision-making process at all levels of the organization
- A confident, proven people leader with a passion for developing others and building high functioning teams
- You are confident in your strengths, always open to challenges and live with integrity
- Global Travel is required for this role

Compensation and Benefits Package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $157,400 - $206,600 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus prog ram and equity offerings, su bject to program eligibility requirements.
