SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experience Business Development Manager who will secure new business opportunities and maintain existing business. Manages and coordinates the activities and operations of the business development department and staff; develops and implements the business development strategy, sales plan, and forecasts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a sales teams activity including CRM management and assisting with pricing activities
- Acts as the primary point of contact to the customer, selling Apex logistics Canada services across business units (Seafreight, Airfreight, trans-loading, drayage services and warehouse & distribution, etc.)
- Self-sourcing leads and securing new business opportunities
- Contacting leads and conducting business meetings with new prospects
- Develop spot and regular opportunities with existing and new customers
- Preparing and conducting customer visits, calls, presentations, negotiations and contracts
- Create and manage a sales plan and execute that plan to success;
- Ensure revenue growth, meet or exceed company sales goals and targets;
- Produce a sales activity report for management on a weekly basis summarizing activities and new revenue opportunities
- Other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time by the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in business management, logistics or related fields.
- Minimum 7 years of Outside Sales experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of Logistics/Freight Forwarding industry Sales experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Canadian International Freight Forwarding Experience and a network of established clients and industry contacts.
- Having direct experiences for logistic sales or operation for freight forwarding, Warehouse, Canada Transportation, Canada/US transportation etc.
- Having good networks and sales sources in Canada & Asia Region, coupled with a desire to join forces with a company that is growing and progressive
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
