The Contract Administrator will manage day-to-day contractual priorities, recommend actions to ensure the project stays on schedule, and analyze contracts in daily transactions.
- Read, analyze, and apply contracts in daily transactions and minor disputes.
- Coordinate contract kick-off meetings and team meetings.
- Develop the contract administration plan with the contract team.
- Review and approve permits and training; verify readiness for work.
- Report on performance, including monitoring contract costs, schedule, quality, and technical performance.
- Manage integrated change control to ensure changes are properly approved.
- Administer and record job progress, monitor work activities for contract compliance, and document administrative actions.
- Verify that technical and commercial contract conditions are fulfilled throughout the contract.
- Ensure all work has been completed and deficiencies have been resolved.
- Monitor payments to suppliers and complete contract closeout reports.
To be successful as a Contract Administrator, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, legal affairs, or a related field.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Experience in negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and administering significant contracts.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and relationship-development skills, along with basic negotiation skills.
