Contract Administrator

We are seeking a Contract Administrator to help us expand our presence in the Heavy Infrastructure Industry.

Job Responsibilities

The Contract Administrator will manage day-to-day contractual priorities, recommend actions to ensure the project stays on schedule, and analyze contracts in daily transactions.

  • Read, analyze, and apply contracts in daily transactions and minor disputes.
  • Coordinate contract kick-off meetings and team meetings.
  • Develop the contract administration plan with the contract team.
  • Review and approve permits and training; verify readiness for work.
  • Report on performance, including monitoring contract costs, schedule, quality, and technical performance.
  • Manage integrated change control to ensure changes are properly approved.
  • Administer and record job progress, monitor work activities for contract compliance, and document administrative actions.
  • Verify that technical and commercial contract conditions are fulfilled throughout the contract.
  • Ensure all work has been completed and deficiencies have been resolved.
  • Monitor payments to suppliers and complete contract closeout reports.
Qualifications/Requirements

To be successful as a Contract Administrator, you will require:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, law, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contract administration, procurement, legal affairs, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of public sector procurement and infrastructure projects is an asset.
  • Experience in negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and administering significant contracts.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-development skills, along with basic negotiation skills.
