As the Director of Leadership & Organizational Development, you will report to the VP of Talent, Leadership, and Organizational Development. You will be part of a talented team of professionals in a Centre of Excellence (CoE), who partner across the business and within the People function to co-lead, develop, and deliver on strategic objectives and key initiatives. You will be responsible for building and steering leadership development programs, frameworks, and facilitating workshops for our most influential leadership groups in the organization to enable transformation and growth efforts.

Role & Responsibilities for the Director of Leadership & OD:

Leadership Strategy: Organizational Culture & Frameworks

- Leads and deploys frameworks and programs to ensure a strong organizational culture that reflects and models our core values and improves staff engagement at all levels of the organization to strengthen capacity for quality leadership and change management.
- Develops and implements a strategic leadership journey for enterprise leaders that fosters ongoing growth, leadership agility, cross-functional collaboration, and builds capacity, capability, and community.
- Crafts a comprehensive leadership development roadmap, including experiences that address critical leadership capabilities, organizational culture, and market dynamics.
- Champions and leads change management strategies to activate organizational culture and leadership programming strategies.
- Ensures seamless alignment between the development of enterprise-wide leadership programming and our long-term people strategy so that the enterprise leadership journey is part of an ecosystem experience that fosters growth.

Leadership Programs: Design & Delivery

- Aligns all leadership development programming design to organizational culture, business strategy, values, leadership, and organizational development frameworks.
- Embeds leadership capabilities and cultural values frameworks across talent management programs and lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance management, culture and engagement survey, succession planning, recognition programs, etc.
- Designs and delivers integrated leadership development programs and processes to drive professional growth, performance, and accountability for the field operations’ team leaders.
- Designs and implements leadership frameworks for onboarding experiences and programs to set up our new people leaders and high-performing middle managers for success as their leadership responsibilities expand and as part of their career progression learning pathways.
- Partners with HR and business leaders to build leadership bench strength at Manager and Director levels across the company to support equitable growth and development for top talent in service to engagement, retention, development, and succession planning.
- Contributes to the development of leadership development pilot programs and provides feedback to key stakeholders.
- Utilizes our learning systems’ technology to develop leaders at scale in a hybrid work environment with a mix of self-directed, virtual instructor-led, and in-person experiences to build leadership and strengthen cross-functional relationships.
- Measures and analyzes the effectiveness of development programs, using metrics, feedback, and external perspective to continually improve content and delivery.

Leadership Development: Consulting, Assessments, & Coaching Services

- Provides professional leadership coaching, assessments, facilitation, and development services for targeted high-performing leadership roles/groups, based on ongoing organizational needs and strategic focus.
- Partners with HR and business leaders to co-develop and implement focus groups/workshop experiences with leaders to activate cultural values and behaviors that inspire transformational change at scale.
- Designs and/or administers leadership assessments to evaluate individuals' strengths and potential for growth across programming when required.
- Analyzes assessment results to identify patterns, gaps, and development needs for leadership development plans.
- Prepares and delivers comprehensive assessment reports with actionable recommendations across leadership initiatives/cohorts.
- Develops coaching service offerings at scale by identifying a cadre of preferred executive/leadership development coaches, aligned with our leadership goals and organizational cultural values.
- Partners with HR and Business leaders to set up executive coaching matching and ongoing engagement.
- Acts as the business owner for external leadership development vendor resources, managing external training providers as needed.

What we're looking for

- 8 years of interrelated professional experience in leadership development and coaching, talent management, performance management, organizational development, and/or human capital consulting.
- 5 years of consulting and/or strategic people/leadership advisory experience working with various client groups in field operations and/or a centre of excellence.
- Master’s and/or PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Psychology, or related Organizational Behaviour Sciences.
- Professional certifications in the theory and application of personality, ability, leadership assessment, and coaching (Hogan, SHL, LI, Leadership 360s, CoActive CPCC, ACC, other).
- Sound understanding of theory and application of psychometric tools, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness diagnostics/frameworks.
- Builds and maintains credible relationships with executives and key stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to include advanced presentation/facilitation skills to senior leaders.
- Ability to generate new ideas, create insights, and develop conceptual frameworks that translate to practical solutions.
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, reliable, self-motivated, and balanced values on being results and relationship-oriented.
- Ability to think, plan, and execute strategically.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment.
