Reporting directly to the Director of Philanthropy and Communications, the Co-Director will lead ANNISAA’s fundraising efforts, focusing on the growth and development of major gifts, grants, and donor relations. This role is essential in building and strengthening relationships with stakeholders, including donors, corporate partners, and community allies, to enhance ANNISAA’s visibility and support.
This role will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all philanthropic initiatives, driving revenue growth and implementing new strategies to support ANNISAA’s mission. The Co-Director will manage, execute, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and donor engagement activities to ensure alignment with organizational standards and funder expectations. As a key executive team member, the Co-Director will participate actively in strategic planning and budgeting, collaborating closely to overcome challenges and advance ANNISAA’s mission to empower women and girls in leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Donor Engagement and Stewardship: Support personalized engagement and stewardship strategies for individual and corporate donors.
2. Fundraising Strategy Implementation: Assist the Director in executing annual and capital campaign strategies.
3. Communications Coordination: Collaborate with the Communications team to produce impactful case statements, stewardship materials, and donor communications.
4. Program Analysis: Partner with the Director to track program performance and financial goals and deliver timely reports to stakeholders.
5. Deputy Leadership: Act in a leadership capacity in the Director’s absence, ensuring continuity and compliance with CRA guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Relevant Work Experience: Proven experience in non-profit organizations, focusing on leading major gifts and fundraising initiatives to support organizational growth.
2. Educational Certification: Certification or degree in Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Philanthropy, or a related field.
3. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office, Canva, Eventbrite, Keela, Grant Connect, and marketing/communications tools, with experience in data management to support donor engagement.
4. Corporate Partnerships: Skilled in developing and managing corporate sponsorships that enhance mission alignment and revenue.
5. Team and Relationship Management: Experienced in leading and mentoring teams, with strong skills in engaging diverse stakeholders.
6. Financial and Strategic Acumen: Competent in budgeting, financial reporting, and setting revenue targets, with a strategic approach to achieving goals.
7. Commitment to Mission and Innovation: Self-motivated, adaptable, and dedicated to furthering ANNISAA’s mission through innovative solutions.
APPLICATION PROCESS:

2. Step 2: Tele-Screening (Phone Interview): Shortlisted candidates will participate in a brief phone screening. This step focuses on getting to know you better, assessing your values, and determining cultural alignment with our team and organization. This conversation is informal and not directly related to the role's responsibilities.
3. Step 3: First Interview (Zoom): Selected candidates will participate in a formal interview via Zoom to discuss their qualifications, skills, and how they align with the role's expectations.
4. Step 4: Scenario-Based Home Assignment: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a scenario-based home assignment to demonstrate their approach to relevant challenges and tasks.
5. Step 5: Final Selection and Onboarding: Successful candidates will be informed of their selection and provided with the next steps for onboarding.
