The LDB is one of two branches of government responsible for the cannabis and liquor industry of B.C. We operate the wholesale distribution of beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis within the province, as well as the household retail brands of BC Liquor Stores and BC Cannabis Stores.

In Human Resources (HR), we support a large, distributed organization with a range of services from our Talent & Compensation, Organizational Development & Change, Employee Relations and Investigations, and Organizational Health and Safety teams. Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health & Safety, the Disability Case Management Advisor works closely with LDB stakeholders to administer all aspects of disability claims. This includes gathering the necessary documentation to support absences, return to work and accommodations. The advisor is responsible for the co-ordination of a variety of services flowing from the Short Term Illness and Injury Plan (STIIP), long term disability and WorkSafeBC programs that are available to LDB employees.

Ability to travel occasionally, and possibly overnight, within the Province of British Columbia.

**Position Requirements**:
**Education and Experience**:

- Degree, diploma or certificate in disability management or related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of recent, related progressive, experience* in disability management, or claims management.

OR

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered equivalent to the above requirements i.e., 6 years of recent, related progressive experience* in disability management, or claims management.
- Recent, related work experience must have occurred within the last 8 years and must include the following:

- Managing complex cases utilizing the principles of disability management.
- Return to work planning.
- Experience with attendance management programs.

Preferred qualifications include:

- Experience working within a unionized environment.
- Experience interpreting collective agreements.
- Experience and knowledge in managing accommodations.
