**Role**:The After-Hours Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing transportation operations during non-standard working hours. They ensure the efficient movement of goods and materials, coordinating with various stakeholders to meet customer demands and optimize resources.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Management**:

- Lead a team of transportation personnel, including drivers, dispatchers, and support staff, during after-hours shifts. Provide guidance, training, and supervision to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.

**Route Planning and Optimization**:

- Develop and implement efficient transportation routes to maximize delivery times and minimize costs. Utilize software and technology tools to analyze traffic patterns, weather conditions, and other factors impacting route efficiency.

**Coordination with Stakeholders**:

- Collaborate with internal teams such as logistics, warehouse, and customer service to coordinate transportation activities and meet customer requirements. Communicate effectively with external stakeholders including carriers, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations.

**Emergency Response**:

- Act as the point of contact for any transportation-related emergencies or incidents that occur during after-hours shifts. Implement contingency plans to address disruptions in service and minimize impact on customers.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards set forth by regulatory agencies such as the Department of Transportation (DOT). Stay informed about changes in regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.

**Cost Management**:

- Monitor transportation expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising service quality or safety. Negotiate rates with carriers and vendors to achieve favorable terms.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste. Encourage feedback from team members and stakeholders to identify areas for enhancement.

**Quality Assurance**
- Follow the principles of GMP relevant to their job responsibilities.
- Follow the applicable Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures relevant to your job responsibilities.

- Transportation/logistics experience
- Positive & Professional Attitude
- Transportation Knowledge
- Geographical Knowledge (Canada/USA/Mexico)
- Understanding/Calculating transit times
- Attention to detail
- Strong Customer Service focus
- Strong Organization and time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Microsoft office experience
- Strong communication of English Language (read/write/verbal)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
