IT Specialist
We are seeking an experienced, client-centric IT Specialist to join our dynamic Information Technology team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Information Technology, this position will provide technical stewardship to internal staff in a hybrid work environment. This operational role has a strong focus on system uptime, security and governance.
The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining and administering internal technical environments including EUX hardware, applications, Server, and network configurations, and will provide direct day to day support to users across the organization, utilizing strong ITIL and change management best practices. In addition, the IT Specialist will support organizational and departmental directives, leveraging technology to deliver system reliability, operational excellence and excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the ability to prioritize, track and document multiple issues through to resolution.
Key Technical Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience supporting a hybrid Infrastructure.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 Operating Systems imaging, deployment, and management framework, utilizing SCCM or similar technologies is required.
- Experience with M365 administration, Endpoint Protection, Defender, Exchange.
- Experience supporting VMware Infrastructure as well as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPO administration.
- Ability to produce effective documentation, implementation plans, problem resolution and incident workarounds.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and principals.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies, Cyber security, Antivirus & Firewalls
- Understanding of backup concepts and technologies ie Veeam, Veritas.
- Experience with ITIL v3 and a strong understanding of Change Management processes and best practices.
- Experience with Ticketing systems and ticket documentation.
- Experience with Telephony
- Certifications in Cloud Security, Microsoft, VMWare/Citrix, or Meraki would be considered an asset.
- Experience delivering Projects would be an asset.
- AutoCad/Autodesk Deployment experience would be an asset.
- Experience with Azure IaaS, SaaS, VDA would be an asset.

- Must be self-motivated and display the skills required to develop and motivate employees.
- Exceptional time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle available for daily use is required.
