Job Description

We are seeking an intermediate/senior transportation engineer to join our team of experts in transportation forensics. As a key member of our team, you will conduct comprehensive assessments of specific events, collisions, or losses to determine the extent to which the design, operations, or maintenance of a transportation facility contributed to the incident. Your expertise will be sought by government agencies, lawyers, insurance companies, and other private entities involved in liability disputes.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation of transportation engineering and safety studies for various projects, including transportation facilities and clients.
  • Analyze data, conduct field investigations, and assess risk factors related to transportation, forensics, operations, and safety.
  • Effectively communicate findings to colleagues and clients through reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience for Intermediate Engineer; 10-15+ years for Senior Engineer.
  • University degree in Civil Engineering or Transportation Engineering.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
  • Familiarity with industry guidelines, including OTM, TAC/MTO Geometric Design, MUTCDC, and Highway Safety Manual.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • A valid Ontario driver's license for field assessments.
