We're looking for a mission-driven Coordinator, Ambassador Program who is passionate about creating more accessible, inclusive, and equitable communities across Canada where people with low vision have unlimited opportunities and can experience life free from barriers and discrimination.

**Your Impact at CNIB**:

- Recruit, oversee and train volunteers to provide community-based presentations with the purpose of increasing awareness of sight loss throughout Alberta.
- Work with organizations to book and schedule Ambassador presentations in the community. Support logistics surrounding the booking of Ambassadors & Ambassador Partners for these presentations, both in-person and virtual. Target audiences include seniors’ lodges, educational institutions, community groups, client serving agencies, etc.
- Develop presentations that can be delivered to a variety of audiences in consultation with the Program Lead, Advocacy & Community Outreach.
- Work with Team Lead, Volunteer & Community Engagement to manage Ambassador program budget and with volunteers to track mileage and expenses.
- Participate in program evaluation and program planning processes.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and maintain excellent record keeping.

**Education and Certifications**:

- Degree or diploma in related field, or equivalent work experience.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- 1-2 years of experience in volunteer coordination within a charity/not-for-profit organization
- Good relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to plan and deliver clear communications to a dispersed audience.
- A track record of successful people management encompassing leading, managing and motivating teams of volunteers.
- Proven time management, planning, coordinating and organization skills; proactive in initiating multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, problem definition and problem-solving skills.
- Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic and flexible.
- Knowledge and experience working in a not-for-profit or charity.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Experience in delivering & developing training workshops and presentations.
- Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
- Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
