**About this opportunity**
The Manager, HRIS is responsible for overseeing the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The incumbent plans and directs continual improvements of the HRIS to support organizational, HR, Total Rewards and Payroll objectives. They are responsible for the accuracy of the data housed in the system and ensure access to reporting and analysis of the HR data. They are also responsible for supporting the development of the organizational strategy for people data, including data governance, tools, technology, and team development, to support data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. They play a hands-on role in developing data tools and performing advanced analysis that provide timely insights to the organization with the intention of improving processes and informing business decisions. They coach and develop the HRIS team to ensure a high quality of experience for end users of the system and all related data. They champion data driven decision making and deliver initiatives to raise data acumen of HR professionals and Operations leaders.

**System Management**
- Develops structures and standards for the use and maintenance of the HRIS.
- Collaborates with Total Rewards & Payroll Department to support processing of pay and administration of employee data.
- Collaborates with IT to support management of all HR related data from HRIS into other systems
**Data Analysis, Data Literacy/Governance**
- Ensures proper data integrity and audit controls. This includes partnership with IT as it relates to the movement and integrity of data and reporting from HRIS into other key systems of operation.
- Develops and distributes analytical tools (reports, dashboards, visualization, etc.).
- Oversees HR reporting by developing regular dashboards and ensuring internal client data requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Provides guidance on the development of the HR analytics function by identifying and implementing best practices.

**Business Acumen, Influence and Relationship Building**
- Collaborates with IT to develop and maintain data governance processes throughout the organization while creating and enhancing key datasets (e.g., data warehouse).
- Supports National HR Business partners as a key client group providing data, insights and reporting that enable strategic HR business partnership.
- Develops strong relationships at all levels of the organization to effectively and creatively problem-solve issues regarding the HRIS.
**Leadership**
- Provides training, coaching and development to direct reports for PPD, responding to concerns, support for effective decision making and achievement of key priorities and goals
- Act as a workstream lead for organizational business initiatives requiring HRIS leadership; or select and guide another member of the team as appropriate
**Technology Enablement and Process Improvement**
- Leverage the relationship with the HRIS vendor to ensure proper support and development of training resources.
- Oversees the regular maintenance and improvement of the HRIS by ensuring updates and changes are properly implemented and communicated.
- Proposes and implements new solutions to improve HR processes within the organization based on HR data.
- Explore efficiencies offered by using AI
**What you will need to be successful**
- 5+ years’ work experience in a HRIS role with a solid understanding of HRIS principles, programs and processes
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources, IT, or a related field.
- Experience with UKG / Ultipro an asset
- Strong people leadership skills, including employee development and coaching skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to resolve conflict
- Strong orientation to customer service
- Ability to drive teamwork and staff engagement
- Strong ability to act as an advisor, influence outcomes and build relationships
- Experience with conducting needs analysis and driving technology enablement
- Strong data literacy and process improvement experience
