**Summary of Duties**:
Reporting to the Manager, Human Rights, the Coordinator assists the workplace investigators and the Corporation’s internal workplace investigations program. This position is responsible for conducting confidential intake meetings, case management and providing administrative support to the workplace investigations team.

**Work Performed**:

- Conduct confidential, trauma-informed intake meetings for complaints under the Respectful Workplace Policy, Code of Ethics and Workplace Violence Prevention Procedure policies.
- Gather necessary information and support the workplace investigations team on the assignment of complaints both internally and externally.
- Demonstrate commitment to anti-racism, anti-oppression, and human rights, through practices and interactions with employees and individuals and support programs that reflect this commitment.
- Share access to resources for complainants and respondents such as Employee Assistance Programs and community supports.
- Create and maintain an effective case management system including tracking intakes and investigations to ensure they meet established timelines, compiling investigation documents, monitoring timelines and creating and updating templates and related procedures
- Support the assigned investigator (internal or external) by maintaining calendars, scheduling interviews and meetings, assisting in preparing reports and agendas and tracking follow ups related to investigations including discipline and restoration activities.
- Support the development of processes and tools needed to increase efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of workplace investigation services.
- Monitor budgets and prepare various budgetary forms and financial documents.

- Handle and prepare all manner of correspondence, reports, and requests including those of a confidential nature. Maintain follow-up on outstanding matters. Gather information and compile data in response to requests from the Workplace Investigator or Manager, Human Rights.
- Contribute to the identification and recommendation of policies, procedures and practices that support programs and services provided by the Human Rights unit; May include the collection of data and information in support of projects, improvements to policies, procedures and customer service.
- Assist with the preparation of Council reports as required.
- Coordinate presentation materials and participate as a team member in Respect in the Workplace training.
- Cultivate strong relationships across the Corporation and communicate diplomatically and professionally with all individuals.
- Demonstrate a commitment and adherence to Health and Safety legislation and programs; actively promote a culture of physical and psychological safety.
- Provide support to the Manager, Human Rights as required.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of a university degree or diploma in Human Resources, Law (Law Clerk or Paralegal) or related discipline.
- A minimum of four years senior administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and related professional and lived community experience.
- Experience in municipal government or other multi-union or public sector environments are preferred.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of relevant legislation as well as diversity, equity, human rights, and anti-racism theory and practices.
- Ability to perform duties in a trauma-informed, sensitive, and diplomatic manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good judgement and the exercise of discretion when dealing with confidential matters.
- Demonstrated ability to be empathetic and impartial.
- Demonstrated ability to provide customer service in a high-volume environment.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Able to process and interpret large volumes of information.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

**Compensation & Other Information**:
$66,134 to $86,073
