The Roundhouse is a unique support program for Indigenous peoples, managed by L’Itinéraire in collaboration with Indigenous organizations from Montreal. Indigenous participants can work daily shifts at the Roundhouse Cafe or participate in a months-long support and employment program.

**Your role**:

- Under the supervision of the project manager - Roundhouse Program and in collaboration with the rest of the support team, the Intervention Worker will support and train participants by accomplishing the following tasks:

- Provide psychosocial intervention to participants;
- Organize and host culturally relevant activities and workshops for Indigenous participants (social intervention, employment, arts and culture, etc.);
- Receive and evaluate the participants’s socio-professional needs and opportunities;
- In collaboration with the project manager, develop partnerships with employers to support participants in their return to employment;
- Participate in the program’s administration: write follow-up notes, prepare statistical and activity reports, compile work hours, etc.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations and communicate any changes or problems to the project manager;
- Work closely with team members (project manager and other intervention workers);
- Maintain an environment that reflects the Groupe communautaire L’Itinéraire’s values (a warm and respectful family atmosphere, empowerment, community-oriented and mutual support) in partnership with the team and ensure compliance to and respect of the organization’s life code by participants;
- Any other related tasks.

**Your background, skills and strengths**:

- Empathy and listening skills
- Adaptability, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Skillful at multitasking, demonstrate autonomy and initiatives
- Fluently bilingual (French and English)
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline (Indigenous studies, social work, special education, career development, etc.)
- 1-3 years of relevant experience as an intervention worker with marginalized populations and people furthest from the labour market (with Indigenous people a great asset)
- Good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google tools (Drive)

**Working conditions**:

- Working contract until March 31st, 2023 (possibility of extension)
- 35 hours/week, day shift, Monday to Friday, possibility of working evenings and weekends for special occasions
- Salary: $22/hr
- We offer other incentives: collective insurance, payment of transportation costs and personal annual holidays, which include 2 weeks paid during the Winter Holidays
