The Roundhouse is a unique support program for Indigenous peoples, managed by L’Itinéraire in collaboration with Indigenous organizations from Montreal. Indigenous participants can work daily shifts at the Roundhouse Cafe or participate in a months-long support and employment program.

**Your role**:
Under the supervision of the project manager - Roundhouse Program and in collaboration with the rest of the support team, the Support and Training Intervention Worker will support and train participants by accomplishing the following tasks:

- Coordinate and supervise the Café’s operations: administrative, cash register and inventory management, prepping and recipes supervision, relationship with suppliers and other partners, schedule shifts at the Café, etc.;
- Ensure the quality of customer service and products being offered;
- Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations and communicate any changes or problems to the project manager;
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene standards at work;
- Plan trainings and workshops for participants and support them in their tasks;
- Participate in the program’s administration: write follow-up notes, prepare statistical and activity reports, compile work hours, etc.
- Work closely with team members (project manager, intervention workers and other training managers);
- Stay in touch with partner organizations for participants’ follow-up and plan their shift at the Roundhouse Café;
- Maintain an environment that reflects the Groupe communautaire L’Itinéraire’s values (a warm and respectful family atmosphere, empowerment, community-oriented and mutual support) in partnership with the team and ensure compliance to and respect of the organization’s life code by participants;
- Any other related tasks.

**Working conditions**:

- Working contract until April 30th, 2024 (possibility of extension)
- 35 hours/week, day shift, Wednesday to Sunday, possibility of working evenings and beginning of the weeks for special occasions
- Salary: $22,33/hr
- Payment of transportation costs

**Your background, skills and strengths**:

- Empathy and listening skills
- Adaptability, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar job or in team management
- Work experience in Montreal’s Indigenous community (great asset)
- Good knowledge of the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google tools (Drive)
- Barista training and a passion for cooking (an asset)
- MAPAQ food establishment manager or food handler training (an asset)
- Experience in intervention (an asset)
