Le Bouclier d'Athéna Family Services Familiaux est une organisme communautaire sans but lucratif qui offre des services aux femmes et aux enfants victimes de violence conjugale, familiale et/ou violence basée sur l'honneur. Cette clientèle diversifiée a besoin d'un soutien pour faire face à ses expériences de violence, pour rétablir un sentiment de sécurité et, souvent, d'un soutien socio culturel pour leur nouvelle arrivée au Canada - y compris des barrières linguistiques, l'isolement socioculturel et la compréhension de leurs droits au Canada. L'organisation travaille en équipe et en collaboration. Notre réseau de services est composé de deux bureaux de services à l’externe (Montréal et Laval), d’une maison d’hébergement - La Maison d’Athéna, et d’un département de sensibilisation communautaire multilingue.

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche de deux travailleuses sociales: une pour notre ressource Deuxième Étape, et une autre pour notre bureau externe à Montréal.

**Description de tâches**:
**Hébergement**
- Évaluer les demandes d'hébergement.
- Accueillir les femmes et leurs enfants victimes de violence conjugale/familiale, et les accompagner durant leur séjour.
- Développer un plan d'intervention; évaluer, intervenir, référer et assurer le suivi des résidentes.
- Offrir des rencontres individuelles et de groupes, ainsi que des accompagnements.
- Assister aux rencontres multidisciplinaires.

**Services Externes**:

- Évaluer les demandes de services.
- Assurer un suivi psychosocial.
- Créer un plan d'intervention selon les besoins identifiés.
- Évaluer, intervenir, référer et assurer le suivi des usagères.

**Profil**

**Éducation**: BAC et/ou maîtrise en travail social ou dans un domaine similaire; ex. psychologie.

**Expérience de travail**: Expérience de base dans un milieu communautaire et connaissance des enjeux liés à la violence conjugale.

The Shield of Athena Family Services is a non-profit organization offering services to women and children victims of conjugal, family, and/or honor-based violence. The diverse clientele requires support around their experiences of violence, re-establishing a sense of safety, and often socio-cultural support around their new arrival to Canada -including language barriers, socio-cultural isolation, and developing an understanding of their rights in Canada. The organization works collaboratively as a team. Our network is composed of two external offices (Montreal and Laval), an emergency shelter - Athena's House, and a multilingual community outreach department.

We are currently looking for two Social Workers: 1 for our Second Step resource and 1 for our external office in Montreal.

**Responsibilities**

**Shelter**
- Evaluate and assess requests made for shelter.
- Welcome and support women and their children victims of conjugal/family violence, as well as accompany them throughout their stay.
- Create an intervention plan; evaluate, intervene, refer and ensure services throughout the resident's stay.
- Offer individual meetings, animate group sessions, as well as provide accompaniment in various domains.
- Participate in meetings with the multidisciplinary team.

**External**
- Evaluate and process requests for services.
- Offer psychosocial support to service users.
- Develop an intervention plan based on the needs identified with the women.
- Evaluate, intervene, refer and ensure follow-up throughout the length of determined services.

**Education**: Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in social work or similar field; i.e. psychology.

**Work experience**: Basic experience in a community setting and knowledge of issues related to conjugal violence.
