**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In a fast-paced, issues-driven environment, your role will include:

- Liaison with internal/external stakeholders to support the development of transformative sector program and policy initiatives.
- Identify and manage issues and communications requests, by setting priorities to meet strict deadlines, and prepare/coordinate required background material.
- Coordinate and prepare concurrent operational requests, including strategic plans, Freedom of Information (FOI) requests, human resources analysis, budgets, estimates, business plans and workback plans. Reviewing all for accuracy, appropriateness, and to maximize the products impact.
- Oversee the administration of meetings, such as scheduling, recording and distributing minutes and providing follow-up on action items.
- Undertake special projects and participate on internal working groups, as assigned.

**How do I qualify?**:
**Analytical, Problem-Solving, and Organizational Skills**: You are able to:

- identify and research issues and determine optimum methods to respond to these issues;
- coordinate concurrent requests and products development to ensure that requests and deadlines are met;
- coordinate and manage day to day operations including executives' schedules and office;
- coordinate and manage several tasks and projects with competing priorities to meet deadlines in a high pressure environment.

**Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Skills**: You have:

- excellent communication and advisory skills to prepare and edit various materials including presentations, briefing notes, submissions, responses to queries/issues from ministry executives and divisional staff;
- presentation and advisory skills, including tact and discretion, to provide technical advice and guidance to internal and external stakeholders;
- demonstrated relationship management skills to build and maintain relationships across the organization with multiple stakeholder groups;
- the ability to negotiate deadlines and extensions for information/briefing materials.

**Administrative and Operational Skills and Knowledge**: You have:

- knowledge of administrative procedures and financial processes to coordinate and provide a range of executive, administrative and support services;
- the ability to coordinate and provide leadership to the division on administrative and resource management issues, including procurement, human resources and FOI requests.

**Computer Skills**:

- You are proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and tracking software.
