**Position Title: Executive Assistant/Adjoint exécutif**

**Employment Terms**:1 x FTE - Non-Flexible (37.5 hours/week)

$21.25/hour - $23.50/hour

Founded in 1986, Independent Living Canada (IL Canada) is the national umbrella organization, representing and supporting a network of IL Centres across Canada. IL Canada promotes the Independent Living Philosophy of self-determination and control over one’s own life as independent persons with a disability.

**Position Summary**:

- Talent to organize and prepare professional documents ranging from general correspondence to extensive reports

**Specific Responsibilities**:

- Coordination of all daily administrative operations as directed by and for the National Executive Director.
- Maintains the National Executive Director’s daily agenda, meeting schedule and appointment bookings.
- Prioritizes and responds to communication on behalf of the National Executive Director’s office; determines and takes required actions while ensuring appropriate follow-up.
- Prepare draft internal and external communication documents on behalf of the office of the National Executive Director.
- Coordinate translation of documents and other communication materials.
- Organizes committee meetings, teleconferences and key special events that occur every year including logístical arrangements, prepares related documentation, and drafts agendas.
- Makes arrangements and ensures follow-up for logístical services (travel, conferences, meetings, etc.).
- Provides general office management such as responding to inquiries, controlling information flow, and ordering office supplies.
- Coordinates projects as assigned by the National Executive Director.
- Maintains social media presence and website information updates
- Receives and coordinates accounts payable requests in collaboration with the National Executive Director and bookkeeper.

**Education**
- You must be able to articulate how your education and experience will benefit the position directly
- Knowledge and familiarity with disability, accessibility and inclusion
- Administrative and/or budgeting experience in a business or nonprofit setting
- Knowledge and proficiency with the use of all technology, specifically: MS Word/Excel, Google Docs and file management
- Proficiency with organization and accurate record keeping
- Specific training will be provided as required
