Blu Ristorante is a fine dining Italian restaurant in Yorkville and we are seeking a experienced Linecook to join our team. We are open 7 days a week for dinner service only. We often do Lunch events such as weddings, corporate functions, etc. The Linecook position we are looking to fill should have experience cooking pasta and grilling at a high volume with passion and attention to detail. Experience cooking PASTA at fine dining level for at least 3-4 years.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service
- Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Adhere to all food handling and storage procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety
- Assist with receiving and inspecting deliveries of food products for freshness and quality
- Prepare special meals or substitute items requested by chef
- able to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish.
- maintain food prep for logs
- Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared as per chef
- Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
- Inform Chef of excess food items for use in daily specials
- Ensure the quality of the food items.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
- Prepare both cold and hot foods requested
- Butchery of meats and fish

**Education**:
Having a degree in culinary is a bonus.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
