Chef de Partie

The Chef de Partie is responsible for opening and closing the kitchen and for its operation, execution, delivery, and supervision of kitchen staff in the absence of the Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef. The incumbent personally prepares and coordinates the preparation of all food served at meal periods in the assigned area, including catering and restaurants.
The incumbent must be versatile in cooking skills and be able to work in all restaurants and catering spaces at the Club and will be asked from-time-to-time to jump on the line in any said areas.
**Requirements/Skills**:
- Must have completed a recognized culinary apprenticeship/training program
- Minimum three (3) years kitchen experience at the Chef de Partie level, with a solid background in all aspects of the kitchen
- Food Handlers Certificate an asset
- WHMIS trained an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of kitchen operational procedures and methods for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required, with an attention to detail in all areas of work
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to maintain composure while under extreme pressure; can handle stress
- Solution oriented - accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations, including solutions
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Able to execute and motive team
- Strong work ethic and ability to take constructive feedback
- A positive attitude and consistent display of professionalism
