**Position Summary**

The SPOR Research Coordinator will oversee the development and expansion of the SPOR (Strategy for Patient Oriented Research) Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovation Network (PIHCIN) component of the province-wide, multi-stakeholder, multi-component, collaborative Primary Care Research Networks (PCRNs). The SPOR Research Coordinator will manage all aspects of the initiative and maintain positive relationships with government, health system, and research stakeholders, with particular reference to the other PCRN components and SPOR PIHCINs in other provinces and territories.

**Duties**

As the SPOR Research Coordinator, you will oversee the development and expansion of the Strategy for Patient Oriented Research (SPOR) Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovation Network (PIHCIN) component of the province-wide, multi-stakeholder, multi-component, collaborative Primary Care Research Networks (PCRN). This multifaceted role requires you to engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies, healthcare providers, and research partners. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of project management, research coordination, and relationship-building tasks, including but not limited to:

- Overall project management and coordination of all Alberta SPOR PIHCIN development activities. This includes formulating and implementing detailed project work plans to achieve our project goals and deliverables. You'll identify the activities to be carried out, establish schedules and timelines, outline essential milestones, address regulatory approvals, and manage project costs.
- Supervising project implementation and data collection activities, ensuring that milestones and timelines are met, and budgets and deliverables are closely monitored.
- Designing project materials, including consent forms, questionnaires, and data collection forms.
- Spearheading data collection, entry, verification, analysis, and reporting, ensuring that the processes are meticulously executed with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Conducting various analyses, such as sample size calculations, descriptive analyses, and multivariate modelling, in response to queries of primary care EMR data in Alberta.
- Actively contributing to qualitative data analysis, which encompasses activities such as coding, thematic analysis, content analysis, narrative analysis, framework analysis, and grounded theory.
- Initiating and maintaining strong relationships with community-based primary care clinics that are members of Alberta PCRNs and CPCSSN (Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network) Building and maintaining relationships with primary care clinics and the general public to engage them in primary care patient-oriented research.
