**the challenge**

Program evaluation is integral to ensuring our clients receive the most appropriate services to thrive as they settle into the Edmonton community. The Research and Evaluation Coordinator supports EMCN’s programs and services by working with program staff and public and private partners to renew our data collection and management infrastructure. This position leads adaptive management through continuous learning throughout the agency and across the sector by conducting program evaluations, supporting informed program changes, and partnering with other non-profit organizations.

**the opportunity**
- Work closely with program staff to develop and implement program evaluation plans and write reports
- Lead change processes for data management and evaluation across EMCN through staff training and other required efforts
- Conduct agency-wide evaluation and knowledge dissemination by collecting client feedback, developing reports and sharing results with staff and the community in easily digestible ways
- Vet and lead agency research partnerships and other ad hoc initiatives
- Build and maintain sector-wide learning and partnerships through cross-sector evaluation tables and settlement-specific partnerships
- Support the integration of a new agency database, working closely with the contractor and program staff to integrate program needs into the database, implement the new database and report to funders

**what it takes**

While all backgrounds will be considered, the most helpful history will include experience conducting program evaluation, research, writing grants and proposals, and a formal education in Social Science or a related field.
