Reports to the Program Manager.
As the Community Relationship Coordinator, you'll be part of the driving force behind BSCS's efforts to build and nurture meaningful connections with supporters, community members, and the public. This role is all about creating opportunities for engagement through strategic support of our fundraising, volunteer, and community events. As a part of the development team you’ll help to strengthen our network of donors, supporters, and volunteers, while helping to plan and execute impactful campaigns and initiatives. Your work will be pivotal in fostering a vibrant, educational, and inclusive community, offering exciting opportunities for people to get involved with BSCS and make a real difference.

**Position Responsibilities**
- Donor Support; respond to queries from the public about fundraising activities and getting involved.
- Stewardship and reciprocity**;**supporting prompt and personalized expressions of gratitude to supporters (donors and volunteers)
- Data oversight and tracking;**support with consistent data entry and data utilization and create reports that indicate the progress of our work and inform decision making.
- General development work & special projects; support the development of ongoing engagement opportunities, including tours, meal services, and volunteer opportunities.
- Build rapport with supporters and offer the public opportunities to engage and support BSCS through various fundraising campaigns or volunteer work.
- Maintain consistent and timely communication and collaboration, while responding to the needs of partners and stakeholders
- Utilize and maintain our donor database to ensure fundraising compliance is always upheld and volunteer management systems to ensure accuracy of information
- BSCS is more than a workplace. It is a community where everyone helps and contributes to the whole, and there is an expectation that all employees will take part in events (during the work week and occasionally during weekends and evenings). This includes fundraising campaigns, running community meals, medicine picking etc.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience (paid or volunteer) in fundraising, events, administration, or community development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Donor Management software (e.g., DonorPerfect) is a bonus.
- Knowledge of Canada Revenue Agency guidelines and regulations is an asset
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Enthusiasm for Boyle Street’s mission to end chronic homelessness, and a passion for fundraising
- Experience or openness to participating in Indigenous culture and ceremony is a requirement
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months.
