Community Connections Manager

**REPORTS TO**:Senior Manager, Programs

**Boyle Street will be partnering with various Inter-Faith Groups and Community Partner Groups to animate the facilities that they operate and utilize their spaces to benefit our city’s vulnerable population while building relationships that support reconciliation, healing, and forgiveness. These spaces will provide a safe and comfortable space for everyone to visit and be able to access a variety of services including meals, recreation, basic needs, and harm reduction support, as well as a place for coffee and companionship. Through positive relationship building and strong community engagement, these spaces are a starting point that will help foster positive outcomes**.
The Community Connection Manager will be responsible for supervising the support workers, case managers, volunteers, and programming processes. You will liaise with community partners to ensure their needs are being met and the relationships are being nurtured. The manager is responsible to make sure all program mandates are met and up to the standards of BSCS philosophies

**Position Responsibilities**
- Overall responsibility for the management of connection spaces
- Provide direct management and support to staff of your team, including recruitment, training, and supervision
- Act as a liaison with partner groups to provide regular feedback about quality of services and adjust scheduling to community center needs
- Build relationships with various Community groups to foster a relationship that is mutually beneficial
- Facilitate connections between Indigenous Cultural supports and the community partners and staff
- Oversee and prepare all required internal and funding related reports
- Attend and represent Boyle Street at all appropriate internal and external meetings
- Build strong external partnerships with colleagues in the government and the non
- profit sector by exploring ways to work to benefit clients
- Explore ways to expand our current services as well as opportunities to offer new services
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with other Boyle Street programs
- Work with the Senior Manager of Adult Programs and Finance to set and manage budgets on an annual basis
- Brief colleagues on internal and external emerging opportunities, issues, trends and learnings in your area of work
- BSCS is more than a workplace. It is a community where everyone helps and contributes to the whole, and there is an expectation that all employees will take part in events (during the work week and occasionally during weekends and evenings). This includes fundraising campaigns, running community meals, medicine picking etc.
**Qualifications**
- Post Secondary Degree in a relevant field of study and/or relevant work experience
- At least 3 years’ experience as a manager supervising staff
- Experience networking with a range of partners and stakeholders
- Experience working within a team as well as across teams in a multi-disciplinary organization
- Police Check with the Vulnerable Sector and Child and Youth Intervention Check completed within the past six months
- Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in a future course
- Valid Class 5 Non GDL license and access to a reliable vehicle
