Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this position is responsible for the Ontario Payroll of Unionized Drivers, Dock and Office Staff. ensuring that payroll is completed accurately and on time.
**Responsibilities**:
- Bi-weekly Highway Driver payroll processing through Oasis
- Study and gain working knowledge of Union contracts relating to payroll.
- Review and support Terminals with payroll processing of City Driver, Dock and Office Staff through UKG
- Analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy of payroll and provide Terminals with training and guidance.
- Monitor and train terminals on entering payroll corrections and correct any ongoing errors by working with in house IT Team on programing.
- Support Terminals with identifying employee errors on trip sheets and guide terminals on how to train employees.
- Calculate Linehaul pay. Submit corrections to TCMs to review with Drivers.
- Support operations by auditing sick day and personal day entries.
- Prepare periodic reports regarding attendance, lunch & break over, overtime, etc to assist operations with cost management..
- Work with IT to implement any payroll changes in both CLC and CBA.
- Provide vacation coverage for the Operations Administrative Assistant with their daily administrative duties
- Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications include**:
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation (Specifically Ontario)
- 2-3 years experience processing payroll
- Expert experience with excel
- Knowledge of AS400 an asset
- Knowledge of UKG an asset
- Attention to detail a must to ensure 100% accuracy
