Under the direction of the Director, the Advisor is accountable to develop, design, monitor, and maintain the Ontario Energy Board’s intranet and internet infrastructures. Provide professional opinion on enhancing the OEB’s digital media infrastructures

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and maintain the intranet and internet websites
- Ensure content and media follow OEB security and development standards and comply with government regulations relating to website accessibility standards.
- Advise staff and leadership on best practices for online usability and digital communications.Oversee the coordination of routine rollouts and postings for external website and intranet, ensuring OEB initiatives are properly communicated, and potential issues are identified with recommendations for solutions
- IT lead for web/technical components of key business objectives, provide input to key decision makers and lead development timelines and external vendor relations.
- Provide technical support to produce and maintain online and published communication materials
- Ensure digital products comply with legislative requirements, including accessibility and bilingual language standards
- Analyze data and report to key internal stakeholders on the performance of OEB’s digital properties
- Conduct User Experience (UX) assessments through user testing, surveys and technical reviews and provide recommendations for continual improvement of web properties

Qualifications:

- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- 3 years’ IT experience working with media development
- 5 years’ IT experience in advanced media development with communications expertise in a regulated industry or public utility setting
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Dynamics, PowerPoint), Sharepoint, Teams.
- Proficiency in web programming languages and development standards (PHP, JavaScript, CSS. SQL).
- Understanding of digital design principles, standards and best practices and proficiency in web development tools and graphic design software
- Advanced knowledge of, and administrator experience with, web Content Management Systems (CMS) across multiple server environments
- Advanced knowledge of configuration, customization, and analysis of web analytics tools, including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio
- Advanced knowledge of e-Marketing platforms, including administering audiences, campaigns, and engagement analysis
- Familiarity with legislative requirements impacting digital properties, including _Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act_ (AODA), _French Language Services Act_ (FLSA) and _Ontario’s Digital and Data Directive, 2021_
