**Job Summary**: This position is funded through Ontario’s Job Creation Partnerships (see more details below). The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF) is one of the leading events of its kind in the world. It's an annual five-day event with a total attendance of 28,000 attracting artists, producers, students and animation fans from around the world. The OIAF Office Coordinator will be the front-line liaison between the Festival and the public. You will help to keep the office organized and assist all staff with administrative tasks. This position will also assist with youth outreach initiatives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Communicate with customers, employees and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and take orders
- Keeps the festival office well organized, direct inter-office communication, receives deliveries.
- Reach out to elementary and high school teachers and students to promote school outreach events.
- Help with the logistics and promotion of Kids Day.
- Update the organization’s databases, including the Canadian Animation Directory.
- Work with other staff and take on other appropriate projects.
- During the festival assist with volunteer check-in and direction.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, accurate, takes initiative.
- Experience working in customer service.
- Able to consistently meet deadlines.
- Adaptability and a positive attitude.
- Experience in event and project management is an asset.
- Strong computer skills: ability to quickly learn new programs/platforms and take initiative to troubleshoot

**ADDITIONAL QUALFICIATIONS REQUIRED**:
Eligible to participate in Ontario’s Job Creation Partnership (JCP) program by meeting the following criteria:
1. You are a resident, living in Ontario.

2. You are not a full-time student (part-time students are eligible).

3. You are not leaving employment to participate (working less than an average of 20 hrs./week is considered unemployed.

4. You also must meet, and provide documentation for, at least one of the following criteria:
a. Previously established an Employment Insurance benefit claim (regular benefits within the last three years or maternity/parental within the last five years), OR

b. Previously employed in Canada in five of the last ten calendar years and earned gross income in excess of $2000 in each calendar year.

**REMUNERATION**:
$662 (gross) per week provided by the Province of Ontario ($20.6875 based on 32 hours per week).

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $20.69 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ottawa, ON K1N 6Z9
