The Manitoba Accessibility Office (MAO) contributes to policy and regulatory change to increase accessibility and inclusion of Manitobans with disabilities. The MAO promotes public awareness about accessibility and creates tools and training to help organizations comply with the Accessibility for Manitobans Act (AMA). The MAO helps organizations to address barriers, raise awareness and support compliance with the AMA and regulated standards through the Manitoba Accessibility Fund grant program. The MAO is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join their team as a Manitoba Accessibility Fund Manager.

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Post-secondary education and training in Public Administration or related field. A combination of related education, trainig and experience may be considered.
- Experience in project management, change management and other strategic and long-term planning principles and practices.
- Experience in the development and implementation of policies and programs.
- Excellent judgement and problem solving skills.
- Strong political and business acumen.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work as part of a team.
- Experience working independently with limited supervision.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Experience with supervising, mentoring and/or leading staff.
- Experience with financial management with the ability to interpret budgets/financial statements and ensure accountability.

**Duties**:
The Manitoba Accessibility Fund Manager coordinates and oversees all aspects of the Manitoba Accessibility Fund (MAF) grant program and acts as the provincial expert on the Manitoba Accessibility Fund. The MAF Manager plans and leads policy and program development and enhancement, including conducting program reviews and preparing authority seeking documents and other finished material for consideration and approval by senior management. This position oversees accountability of grant recipients to meet the terms and conditions of their contribution agreement with the Government of Manitoba and uses a structured approach to resolve issues. The MAF Manager is responsible for outreach and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the province. They are the main point of contact in communicating changes to the existing grant program and explaining new policies and procedures to all eligible organizations. The MAF Manager supervises the work of the MAF Clerk and provides advice, guidance and direction to project team members about work performed. This position works under the direction of the Manitoba Accessibility Office Executive Director and assists with branch planning, developing long-term objectives and strategies, represents the Manitoba Accessibility Office in interdepartmental and external meetings, committees and consultations, and completes other duties as assigned.
