**Job Summary**:
The Investment Committee's role is to assist the Board of Directors in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities in financial management and investment strategies. The Investment Committee is responsible for monitoring the management of the Accident Fund and the employee pension fund including reviewing the Statement of Investment Policies and Objectives, performance of the funds and investment managers. As a committee member, you will provide investment expertise to the Investment Committee.

The initial appointment to this position would be for a three year term with the opportunity for renewal. The commitment of the position involves attending four to six committee meetings per year in addition to the time necessary to prepare for the meetings.

**Qualifications**:
The ideal applicants will possess some or all of the following attributes:
Extensive experience over varying market conditions in the institutional investment field as a supervisor of equity managers;
Experience with and understanding of appropriate benchmark comparisons and performance attribution of different Investment Management strategies for long term assets from an oversight perspective;
A broad understanding of the various asset classes available to Investment Managers;
Familiarity with the role of actuaries in asset management strategies;
Membership in investment organizations such as CFA Winnipeg.
