**The Role**:
The Procurement & Inventory Supervisor leads a team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient flow of material through the business. The Supervisor is responsible for the development and execution of logistics and warehousing operations including material planning, receiving, internal material movement, material storage and shipping. The Supervisor will work with both internal and external business partners to reduce cost, streamline processes, and improve service.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Lead, manage, and hold accountable staff members to generate strong results for the business and build on their functional competencies.
- Strategically plan, prepare, and release orders to raw material suppliers to maintain optimum levels of materials inventory to ensure availability for production.
- Interfaces with production to ensure production planning supports on-time deliveries to meet site requirements.
- Partner with quality, production, and site to resolve issues with material warehousing and shipments.
- Maintain relationships and negotiate with key suppliers.
- Establish and implement best practices related to the ERP systems and processes that support material transactions related to all aspects of materials management including planning, inventory control and logistics and maintain transactional integrity and accuracy.
- Develops internal planning (transportation, run sizes, inventory balances, etc.) for product.
- Oversee the material flow process.
- Prepare procedures and work instructions regarding material control systems.
- Lead and perform material planning activities from raw materials to finished goods.
- Leads, coordinates in conjunction with Finance and all departments preparation and execution of physical inventory.
- Lead and support standard metrics.
- Develop a plan and system to monitor safety stocks, min / max levels, storage locations, and material flow.
- Lead and monitor cycle count frequency, accuracy, recounts, adjustments, and investigation of issues until resolved.
- Ensures all policies and procedures are adhered to by all associates within the materials group.
- Perform additional duties as required.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE**:

- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with strong background in material planning, inventory control.
- Leadership experience in managing and developing a strong accountable team.
- Microsoft Office proficient with emphasis on Excel is required.
- Experienced Netsuite ERP user preferred.
- Must be a strong problem solver and an effective communicator.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; ability to dissect a problem and form solutions that meet real-time constraints.
- Must possess solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Demonstrated organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
