The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy is responsible for the effective protection, management and conservation of BC’s water, land, air and living resources. It leads work on climate preparedness and adaptation and leads plans to meet greenhouse gas reduction targets.

The Ministry Business Continuity Advisor promotes, plans, develops, implements, tests and monitors ministry-wide business continuity plans to ensure business priority and mission critical ministry services and processes continue to function or are returned to service as quickly as possible in the event of a business interruption.

**Job Requirements**:

- Business Continuity Planning certification. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience with Business Continuity Planning industry standards and best practices, and Risk Management and Crisis Management (ICS/BCERMS) principles and practices.
- Experience with facilitating groups to consensus, developing and delivering adult training and designing and delivering emergency management exercises.
- Experience in the preparation of business case analyses and RFPs/RFIs.

PROVISOS
- This position requires on-call and extended hours during incidents and exercises.
