**How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team**:
**Major Responsibilities**:
- Oversees all aspects related to the end-to-end development and delivery of educational and training programs, including program and event logistics, financial planning, and management and business models.
- Provides leadership related to the interpretation of cultural and natural heritage features within TRCA facilities, greenspaces, and local natural and human systems. primarily at Black Creek Pioneer Village
- Oversees the inventory and purchasing of program supplies and equipment and coordinates daily sales of items made during program delivery when relevant. Leads procurement process.
- Meets with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Marketing, Communications & Events and Finance, for collaboration on promotional activities for programs and events as required.
- Builds and maintains relationships with various industry partners with a focus on growing programs and community engagement opportunities, including diverse revenue steams and volunteer opportunities as appropriate.
- Develops and manages revenue and business streams in support of community and education programming, including fee for service programs and services.
- Negotiates and manages agreement process for external partnerships and stakeholders related to programming, partnerships and new fee-for-service or contract service.
- Supports a culture of workplace equity and inclusion that celebrates diversity.
- In collaboration with Human Resources: Managing - recruitment process for the team, development plans for high performing and underperforming staff, recommending compensation performance adjustments plus promotions/transfers, ensuring resources are in place, providing supervisors with recommendations for budget/resource requirements for future project needs.
- Ensures staff/volunteers/contractors, as applicable, comply with health & safety policies, and other TRCA policies, as applicable in various work environments, while leading incident investigation and mitigation process
**What will you need to succeed**:
Education (degree/diploma/certifications/licenses)
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Education, Museum Studies, and History.
Experience
- 4+ years of experience in Museum Education.
- 1+years of progressive managerial, supervisory, or project management experience.
Knowledge/Skill/Ability - Competencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate project status for various audiences and prepare reports and proposal writing.
- Knowledge of procurement practices, project management and risk management concepts
- Able to self-manage workload and prioritize tasks as an ongoing challenge in a frequently fluctuating workload and multiple deadlines.
- Strong budget management and cost control skills; able to address variances and manage ongoing risks while managing multiple deadlines / work processes.
- Ability to deal effectively with elected officials, representatives of other levels of government, management, peers, staff and the general public.
- Forms strategic relationships with other organizations to improve the customer experience.
- Collaborates with others to focus on objectives and effectively delegates work within a team.
- Effective problem-solving skills and leadership skills, including staff coaching and managing performance and working collaboratively with other divisions.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, related Regulations, and legislation
