The Outreach Assistant, Seneca Applied Research provides high-level customer service and administrative support for internal and external partners. The incumbent assists partners with inquiries and information as needed. Internally they work with the Applied Research team on various outreach related events and projects. They are also responsible for maintaining Seneca Applied Research's online presence by coordinating content and collaborating with Marketing and Communications.

**Here's What’s on Your Horizon**

**Client relations**
- Acting as the resource person for internal and external stakeholders.
- This includes providing directions, dealing with inquires, providing information about upcoming Applied Research events and any information required.
- Liaising with internal faculty, administration, and support staff, and with external stakeholders to ensure that required resources are available and required support is provided.
- Addressing internal and external partner inquiries regarding Seneca Applied Research, assisting partners and ensuring optimal levels of customer service at all times.

**Communications and Outreach**
- Working with Seneca’s Marketing and Communications to develop and deploy outreach materials (through channels such as social media, web, e-news, print, screens on campus, Eventbrite, etc.) for
- activities and news related to Seneca Applied Research.
- Collaborating with the Applied Research team and stakeholders to draft content showcasing successful projects, partnerships and other relevant milestones and achievements.
- Contributing to various AR marketing assets, including one-pagers, newsletters, presentations, and promotional materials.
- Assisting in Seneca Applied Research outreach and awareness initiatives, such as Open House and tradeshows.Coordinating social media posting.
- Updating Seneca Applied Research website in collaboration with Marketing.

**Additional duties**
- Supporting the coordination and delivery other Seneca Applied Research initiatives/events.
- Providing administrative functions to support Seneca Applied Research activities.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Minimum two (2) years diploma in office or business administration or a related field of study.

**Experience**
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in office administration, communications, or marketing support in an outward-facing environment, coordinating deliverables with diplomacy and confidentiality.

**Skills**
- Advanced writing skills
- Event coordination.
- Experience managing social media accounts.
- Coordinating outreach/communications campaigns
- Strong customer service and online systems communicating with tact and diplomacy in dealings with an assortment of stakeholders, including private sector clients.
- Time management to handle a variety of large volumes of work while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in response to frequent interruptions and changes.
- Application of procedural guidelines with mínimal direction while effectively analysing and problem solving at a level required for role.
