About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist role is focused on supporting the HR team as well as the most Senior Manager of Human Resources. You will support both strategic planning responsibilities and administrative tasks in every area of HR, including recruiting, engagement, compensation, and benefits. You will act as the main point of contact for both internal and external HR inquiries or requests. You will assist with recruitment and own the new employee onboarding process. You will foster positive relations with employees and senior level team members, and work to improve employee engagement. You will possess strong initiative, great attention to detail and excellent communication skills to effectively carry out the duties of this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expertise, training, and support to all levels of management to ensure the effective management of all human resources issues.
- Act as liaison between employees and the management team.
- Provide effective leadership and development of the HR and Admin team members.
- Translate business strategy into HR strategy.
- Provide expertise, training, and support to all levels of management to ensure the effective management of all human resources.
- Conduct orientation and initiate employee onboarding.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and programs. Ensure compliance with employment legislation.
- Organize and maintain accurate employee records in our HRIS database.
- Update or contribute to the creation of job descriptions and job advertisements.
- Initiate offboarding, assist in the termination process as needed and perform exit interviews.
- Conduct surveys, collect employee feedback and generate ad hoc HR reports.

Job Requirements
- Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred.
- Achieved or working towards CHRP/CHRL designation.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources related role.
- Solid knowledge of federal and provincial employment standards and legislation.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage changing priorities.
