**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

The VP, Marketing, reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, will be accountable for the management of our Canadian bathroom tissue and facial tissue portfolios - Cashmere®, Purex®, and Scotties®. They will set the strategic and annual operating plan, and will recommend and deliver KPIs for brand development.

In this role, you can expect to:

- Execute the Marketing Plans by identifying, evaluating and making changes to the portfolio through new product introductions, rationalization and product repositioning
- Monitor brand profitability and communicate to Leadership potential problems or opportunities
- Recommend pricing strategies and cost savings opportunities complete with profitability overview
- Communicate all product changes (new, revisions, cancellations) to all functional areas
- Plan, manage and coordinate product development, research, advertising and promotional programs to stimulate consumer demand and sales activity
- Manage Nielsen Client Services and adherence to contractual obligations and payment
- Collaborate and build strong effective working relationships with Sales, Trade Marketing, Finance, Legal, Logistics, Product Development and Manufacturing
- Evaluate consumer promotional activity on each brand and recommending changes to the plan, if necessary
- Direct the activities of the advertising agencies, consultants, suppliers
- Manage the total image (packaging design, brand standards, etc.) of the products within the portfolio
- Working closely with Sales and Trade Marketing, support the development of customer strategies, including the evaluation and approval of promotions and spending with major customers to ensure maximum sales and profitability
- Assist and advise the Private Label Sales Manager on the development of new product innovations and introductions
- Develop and maintaining, in conjunction with Sales, both mid-term (1 year) and long-term (5 year) forecasts that are used for strategic planning and inventory control
- Contribute to the annual update of the Five Year Strategic Plan including market, share and sales forecasts, brand mixes and marketing budget
- Develops direct team to build a thorough understanding of all aspects of the business to form the necessary base required to make brand decisions

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Commerce or BBA
- Experience: 15 years of Marketing experience; Senior Director level in packaged goods marketing with advertising and research experience.
- Demonstrated ability to win through superior consumer marketing
- Strong problem solving and sound business judgment; ability to anticipate issues and resolve them.
- Strong leader with excellent project management and multitasking, analytical, creative, excellent written and presentation skills
- Technical: Proficient in all Microsoft Support Software; Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as ACNielsen Workstation Plus
