**Administrative Assistant 1 - Works**

Reporting to the Commissioner of Works, the incumbent will:

- Prepare agendas for the Works Committee and other Committee meetings as required
- Circulate reports for comments and sign off, and ensure all necessary department head and CAO signatures are obtained
- Maintain and update the the list of outstanding items from Committee and Council and update the Agenda tracking system
- Provide support to the Commissioner, Directors and departmental managers as required
- Plan departmental events and arrange conference registrations, travel and accommodation arrangements for Management Staff and Members of the Works Committee
- Support the coordination and completion of MFIPPA requests
- Represent the department on corporate initiatives and coordinate special projects on behalf of the Directors
- Review the status of the projects regularly to ensure the desired completion dates are met

The successful applicant will possess:

- A grade 12 diploma
- Several years of work related experience in public and/or private office environments
- Experience working with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication, public relations, problem solving and analytical skills
- Demonstrated project management, prioritization and organizational skills

**Conditions of Employment**

Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will be required prior to start date.

**External Application Process**

Pay: $57,707.00-$73,384.00 per year
