**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Support the day to day tasks of the payroll team along with the completion of bi-weekly payroll, onboarding, offboarding and transfers.
- Process employee forms, salary information and job details in the employee files.
- Reviews schedules, time sheets and makes adjustments and inquires on any outliers for payroll processing.
- First point of contact for any payroll questions or concerns. Reviews, investigates and problem solves employee payroll issues such as missing pay, overpayments etc.
- Understands payroll legislation, policy and can interpret payroll processes for union and non-union employees.
- Ensure that all payroll information, files, and records are maintained online in UKG and in our file room.
- Liaise with Canada Life and Blue Cross for Benefits and RRSP administration.
- Reviews payroll and benefits reports and makes adjustments based on findings.
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with all staff members and departments.
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information.
- Research employment legislation and regulatory guidelines such as EHT, CPP, EI, WCB, Income Tax, pension & benefit contributions, etc. and make recommendations.

**Education & Experience**:

- Post secondary education or experience working in Payroll & Benefits Administration an asset.
- Interest in perusing Payroll or HR as a career.
- Payroll designation an asset.
