Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Sales Representative to join our team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving our sales initiatives and fostering strong client relationships. You will be responsible for promoting our comprehensive range of industrial equipment, providing technical expertise, and delivering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our customers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities to generate leads and expand our customer base
- Qualify leads through strategic outreach and engaging conversations to understand their needs and requirements
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication and exceptional customer service while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Provide technical expertise and product knowledge to customers, addressing inquiries and recommending suitable solutions
- Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to showcase the benefits of our products and services
- Assist with trade show displays and attend trade shows as required
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and improvement
**Requirements**:
- Mechanical Technology or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the industrial supplies or factory equipment sector
- Experience working with mechanical power transmission preferred but not essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong team player willing to both receive coaching and provide support to others
- Valid driver’s license required and a willingness to travel within Western Canada as required
