**CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Research Coordinator.**

Reporting to the Research Manager and site Principal Investigator, CHEO-RI is currently seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Coordinator to support a 5-year research study in youth and adolescents with mental health multimorbidity. This project aims to provide a deeper understanding of the trajectories of youth seeking mental health care as they navigate key transition points in their development. This goal will be achieved by including sampling from a diverse range of clinical services, standardized data collection and deep phenotyping of select clinical cohorts of youth (aged 11-25 years) and will support modular clinical trials.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

Under the general supervision of Dr. Gary Goldfield, the Research Coordinator will:

- Support the study team to ensure effective coordination of recruitment, characterization, and retention of participants.,
- Assist with several research responsibilities, including the coordination of day-to-day operation, recruiting and screening study participants, scheduling participant interviews, administering structured diagnostic interviews and clinical scales.
- Maintaining participant records, data entry and database maintenance.
- Support the scheduling of research study visits.
- Facilitate the training of other staff and research trainees.
- Preparing Research Ethics Board (REB) submissions.
- Developing and harmonizing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assisting with contracts and agreements.
- Maintaining study documents.
- Support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable policies, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES**
- Master’s degree in Psychology or a related field (Essential)
- Minimum 2 years of research experience with research studies targeted towards youth, young adults and/or families experiencing mental health challenges (Essential)
- Extensive experience providing research administrative support, problem-solving, and coordinating quantitative data (Essential)
- Experience coordinating large-scale or multi-site studies and working on longitudinal complex studies (preferred)
- Previous experience in recruiting, screening, and completing the informed consent process with research participants (Essential)
- Previous experience in administration of neuropsychological assessments (ex. Wechsler), structured diagnostic interviewing (ex. K-SADS-5, SCID-5), clinical rating scales, and neurocognitive assessments (ex. NIH Toolbox)(Essential)
- Experience with electronic data collection programs (e.g., REDCAP, Qualtrics etc.) (Essential)
- Experience preparing Research Ethics Board (REB) submissions, amendments, and renewals (Essential)
- Demonstrated literature review and synthesis skills (Essential)
- Proficiency with word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and database software (Essential)
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and diverse stakeholders (Essential)
- Demonstrated communications skills, both oral and written (Essential)
- Ability to explain complex issues in plain language (Essential)
- Detail oriented and well-organized, ability to track key project deliverables and deadlines (Essential)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a variety of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds (Essential)
- Bilingualism (English/French) (preferred)

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Clinic setting work within hospital; exposure to children and parents and/or caregivers.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid work model that would include both remote work and on-site work.

- Eligible to work in Canada;
