Range $50,000 - $59,000 - commensurate with skills & experience

Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute (“CHEO RI”) is the research arm of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario - Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (“CHEO”) and an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa. This is a full-time position working with an interdisciplinary research team, to promote wellness among Indigenous children and youth. This research program is supported by a 5-year CIHR grant led by Dr. Nancy Young. Your role will be the primary Research Coordinator within the ACHWM (Aaniish Naa Gegii: Children’s Health and Well-being Measure) team. The (ACHWM.ca) team combines research, knowledge translation and Indigenous wisdom to support Indigenous children and youth.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Liaise with the ACHWM team, CHEO RI staff, and the CHEO RI Research Coordinators’ group
- Support protocol development and research project implementation
- Prepare REB submissions/revisions/modifications for all research projects
- Ensure efficient day-to-day operation of research projects
- Create and maintain research files and documentation according to research guidelines (e.g., GCP)
- Ensure high standards of data quality across the ACHWM initiative, ensuring data integrity, respecting data sovereignty, and confirming consistency with the study protocol
- Create surveys and manage data in REDCap and assist with systematic reviews as needed
- Conduct data analysis on qualitative and quantitative data
- Lead the development and submissions of abstracts, and present at academic conferences
- Actively support the PI in grant writing
- Support the ACHWM team in developing and maintaining data linkage documents / relational databases as well as custom report spreadsheets for community partners
- Maintain up-to-date work plans for all research projects, and maintain project documentation
- Monitor study-related expenses
- Attend relevant team and community meetings and report on project progress to the ACHWM team
- Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all CHEO corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Perform various administrative duties and other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

Minimum 3 years of experience as a research coordinator (Essential)

Expertise in research project management, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
(Essential)

Excellent computer skills, including advanced knowledge of research-related
software (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Covidence, EndNote, etc.) (Essential)

Statistical expertise and practical experience using STATA and REDCap (Essential)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)

High level of professionalism and interprofessional skills (Essential)

University undergraduate degree in a related field (BA or BSc) (Essential)

A Master’s degree in a related field is an asset (preferred)

Experience with Google Analytics (preferred)

Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset (preferred)

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Able to work effectively in a hybrid environment
- Able to work with the ACHWM team on-site at the CHEO Research Institute 2 days per week
- Able to be highly productive with mínimal supervision

**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- Compliance with CHEO RI’s Universal COVID-19 Vaccination Policy; and
- Police Record Check.
