CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Project Assistant.

We are looking for a highly motivated Project Assistant to join our team on a national implementation science project related to early intervention for eating disorders. This project endeavours to evaluate the implementation of an early intervention model of care for eating disorders in integrated youth services, with the goals of building high-calibre evidence to facilitate spread and scale of the model across Canada. The Project Assistant will be involved in the day-to-day activities and operations of the project, including but not limited to: providing administrative support, managing event and meeting bookings, supporting REB submissions, manuscript formatting and support with submissions and revisions, organization of literature libraries, and support with various knowledge translation outputs (PowerPoint presentations, infographics, etc.).

The Eating Disorder Research team is located within the CHEO RI (Ottawa, Canada), and is comprised of scientists, clinician-scientists, a research manager, several research coordinators and assistants, and volunteers and students. This fast-growing team is recognized as a national leader in pediatric eating disorder research, spearheading several innovative cutting-edge studies that cross-cut health systems and clinical research.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Under the general supervision of the Scientist and Manager, the Project Assistant will:

- Assist with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks
- Coordinate event logistics, including booking venues/rooms, scheduling speakers, ordering catering, audio visual equipment, organizing registration, communications with attendees, etc.
- Make travel and accommodation arrangements for meetings and conferences, and prepare travel claims as required.
- Maintain and organize tracking lists, document libraries, and team resources
- Managing meetings (preparing agendas, preparing materials, taking minutes, tracking actions, distributing documents, etc.)
- Assisting with funding reports and/or potential grant submissions (uploading documents, coordinating with partners, CV support, editing and formatting documents)
- Assisting with manuscript, formal document and abstract submissions (proofreading, formatting, revision, and/or submitting)
- Developing communication and knowledge mobilization tools (e.g. posters, presentations, infographics, resource materials, project reports, etc.)
- Creating and updating content for various websites, virtual programs, and recommending and implementing changes and improvements
- Contributes to internal and external communication initiatives for the program
- Assist with developing and disseminating quarterly newsletters
- Conduct literature searches and summarize relevant information
- Tracking expenses, managing event budgets, and submitting payment requisitions and/or expense claims
- Assist as needed with other administrative duties related to ongoing project
- Perform work in accordance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations and all CHEO corporate/departmental policies and procedures related to Occupational Health and Safety
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES
- College or University degree (Essential)
- Experience and formal training combined with demonstrated performance and ability may substitute for stipulated academic/experience requirements (Essential)
- Previous experience in a research setting (preferred)
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) (Essential)
- Knowledge of graphic design and related software (e.g. Canva) (preferred)
- Knowledge of knowledge mobilization (preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively (Essential)
- High degree of accuracy and detail orientation (Essential)
