**ASSOCIATION ADMINISTRATOR & RENTALS SUPERVISOR**

Kitsilano Community Centre Association is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Board for community and recreational services. This is an opportunity to work in a dynamic bustling environment, gain valuable community-based work experience, and showcase your top flight administrative skills
Kitsilano Community Centre acknowledges that we live and work on the unceded ancestral territories of the Coast Salish Peoples including the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil Waututh Nations.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Administration_
- Schedule and record monthly meetings and support Board committees when needed
- Assist with special projects such as creating manuals, policies, committee proposals, grant submissions
- Develop Association’s annual budget with support from centre staff on key financial areas
- Initiating and maintaining communication with Association members
- Provide technical assistance to meeting attendees and members of the Board
- Order general supplies and/or equipment as required
- Perform ad hoc administrative duties to support the bookkeeper
- Support annual audit
- Rentals_
- Manage room inquiries, bookings and payments
- Supervise and schedule rentals staff
- Marketing_
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns for the Association, Centre programs and special events (AGM)
- Update social media sites and liaise with the website manager
- Create and send out seasonal e-newsletters
- Design and layout the recreation guide using Adobe Indesign
- Public Relations_
- Respond to general public inquiries via social media and the general inbox directing correspondence as needed
**Qualifications**
- Self-starter who enjoys working with the public, volunteers and a diverse range of individuals in a manner that promotes positive and respectful relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to adjust schedule, to accommodate evening meetings and support future weekend community engagement events
- Sound knowledge of Google Apps, Facebook, Wordpress, Instagram, Canva, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office and are generally software conversant with an interest in seeking out and proposing new technical alternatives that can accommodate a diverse range of technical aptitudes
- Advanced typing/word processing skills with the ability to transcribe non-verbatim and familiarity with Robert’s Rules of Order
- Enthusiasm for everything about social media and general design/marketing skills
- 2 years of relevant work experience related to administration in an office environment
**Compensation & Benefits**
- A competitive hourly rate of $28/hour
- Flexible schedule of up to 25 hours per week to accommodate evening meetings and weekend events
- Additional hours may be negotiated based on operational needs
- A private office with plenty of free parking spaces and easy access to bus routes.
- Some remote work may be negotiated
- Gain non-profit experience through a well-established Association (est. since 1953)
